The 19" sub-frame is suspended in a Penn R8800 anti-vibration shock mount, cushioning your gear against even the most significant jolts. The slam doors are securely mounted on hinged, sliding rails and can be neatly stowed away beside the rack ears when not in use, eliminating the need for additional storage space for lids. Ball corners add further strength and structure to your SLAM Rack by shielding it against any direct punches it may encounter on the road. The overall rigid structure of the SLAM Rack also means it won’t trapezoid over time. Each SLAM Rack features plenty of breathing space on the rack's sides - top, bottom, front, and back - helping to increase airflow around your gear and reduce the risk of overheating.
